Bio
Lou Rende has worked in Physical Education and Athletic Training throughout New York States for over 35 years. In 1983 he earned his Master of Science in Physical Education degree from Ohio University. His sports medicine and athletic training work history includes positions at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Rochester Institute of Technology, State University College at Brockport and as the Director of the Center for Sports Medicine in Schenectady. He is currently the Coordinator of Sports Medicine and Athletic Training Services at OrthoNY in Schenectady.
Part of Lou’s special training includes solving foot issues through the use of custom orthotics. For over 20 years, he has worked closely with Jeffrey Jacobs, founder of Foot Dynamics, on helping athletes improve performance through custom orthotics. Lou brings his unique talents to the Inside Edge to help skiers, runners, cyclists (or any athlete) seeking better performance with custom orthotics by Foot Dynamics.
